Punch the Japanese Macaque Original Auction
By now, you've probably seen him. Little Punch - the Japanese baby macaque who captured the internet's heart by clutching his beloved toy orangutan and dragging it around wherever he goes. He's small, defenceless and yet brave, facing each day with only his furry companion by his side - and somehow we're all fiercely rooting for him.
So, moved by the same adoration that's swept across the internet, I wanted to immortalise the moment. This piece is for Punch: a celebration of the tiny, brave soul who reminded the world that tenderness comes in the most unexpected forms.
A percentage of proceeds from this piece will be donated to the Jane Goodall Institute.
Original watercolour piece, painted on 300gsm Canson Montval, set behind non-reflective museum glass in a raw Teak box frame.
Paper Size: 111 x 111 mm
